Over more than twenty years working as an NHS Doctor, I’ve seen how often insulin resistance sits at the root of fatigue, weight gain, poor focus, and many long-term health conditions — from type 2 diabetes to heart disease and cancers.
In my NHS practice, I’ve supported hundreds of patients to improve blood sugar control and lose weight through medication optimisation and lifestyle support, often using a lower-carbohydrate approach. Over time, I realised the most powerful results came when people truly understood why their body was behaving as it was — and learned how to work with it, not against it.
The greatest gift I can offer my patients is the knowledge and confidence to take control of their own health.

Recognising the limitations within NHS practice, I founded the Elevate Metabolic Health clinic to offer the kind of care I wished every patient could access: time, clarity, and expert guidance to address insulin resistance at its source.
